Tailwind Cafe: Stitch & Poke Maker Meetup

@knitpurl: ✨ Seattle makers, this is for you! ✨
Stitch & Poke has been bringing crafters together since 2018 (with a cozy Zoom break during lockdown, of course). It’s about more than just making…it’s coming together in community. 💕 Every month, knitters, crocheters, embroiderers, and makers of all kinds gather to share projects, conversations, and connection.

If you can work on it in a café, bring it along: Knitting · Crochet · Embroidery · Cross-stitch · Needlepoint · Mending · Weaving · Spinning · Punch needle · Needle felting · Sketching · Watercolor · Calligraphy · Journaling · Collage · Quilting · Beading · Jewelry-making · Macrame · Origami

🧶 What to expect: friendly folx, good vibes, and a room full of creativity. Plus, @tailwindcafe has all the fuel you could want — from delicious food and coffee to wine, beer, and the cutest cocktails — so you can sip, snack, and stitch the afternoon away.

📍 Tailwind Café (inside @goodweatherinseattle at @chophouserow)
1424 11th Ave., Seattle, WA
📅 ⏰ Always: 12 - 3pm, the last Saturday of every month

Bring your WIP. Meet your people. Make something together. 💛

Light Sleeper: Windward Adventures Night of Fire Food

It’s only natural to draw indoors as the days shorten and the temperatures fall. October is a beautiful month of juxtapositions - squashes and tomatoes, warm sun and cold air, greening grass and yellowing leaves, the desire to be at home and the desire to draw closer to those we care for.

I personally love this time for eating and celebrating the effects of gathering around a fire. That is why we have drafted up a fall menu of unique cocktails and smoky food.

For this fire food meal, you will choose your reservation time and what you’d like to have as your main dish. The chosen plates will be presented with an array of sides to help compliment your meal. We will also be preparing a fall cocktail menu featuring spirits from the La Maison et Velier book. Beverages will be extra, and can be purchased at Light Sleeper during the event.

Light Sleeper: TOMBOY 6-Course Tasting

TOMBOY: The Work That Remains – A 6-Course Tasting at Light Sleeper

TOMBOY began as a way to bring people together—through food, through warmth, through a sense of belonging. As it evolves, so does its meaning.

The Work That Remains is our tasting menu series: an ongoing exploration of memory, growth, and the creative pressure that comes with building something unfamiliar. Each dish reflects where we are now and the questions we’re still asking.

Join us for a 6-course tasting at Lightsleeper on Sunday, October 5, where each plate reflects a deeper pursuit—of memory, growth, and risk. The work is quieter now, more focused, but still centered around connection. This meal is an offering—for those who have been with us from the beginning and for those just finding us now.

We are delighted to host one final Club Sandwich of this season, which will fall on the autumnal equinox and the official LAST DAY OF SUMMER

The menu for this one focuses on produce that truly only shines in the peak of summer. To me, tomatoes are the epitome of summer. An off-season tomato is basically a ghost of the real deal. So we will be offering three sandwiches in this theme and showcasing tomatoes in all their shapes, sizes, and tastes!

We are honored to invite Hyeonje and Goop to be our musical guides. This time we will be winding down for the summer with a more listening-centric event. Expect vibes and lounging but not as much dancing.
