TOMBOY: The Work That Remains – A 6-Course Tasting at Lightsleeper

tomboy’s next iteration—personal, intentional, and grounded in growth. Food rooted in memory, story, and the work that remains.

This dinner marks the start of a new chapter for tomboy.

For the past year, tomboy has been about bringing people together—through food, through warmth, through a sense of belonging. That foundation remains, but this next iteration is more personal. It's about clarity, discipline, and the kind of creativity that comes from stepping into something unfamiliar. Every dish in this menu is shaped by that shift.

Join us for a 6-course tasting at Lightsleeper on Sunday, August 17, where each plate reflects a deeper pursuit—of memory, growth, and risk. The work is quieter now, more focused, but still centered around connection. This meal is an offering—for those who have been with us from the beginning and for those just finding us now.

This in-person class at our Capitol Hill store will go over basic hand-sewing techniques. It is designed for those with zero sewing experience, but you’re welcome to come along if you have some sewing skills and would like a refresh. All materials will be provided.

Join us for the third installment of Bottle Study—a small, round-table tasting series focused on rare, allocated, and just plain dope wines. This month: a deep dive into Jura + Savoie, France’s wine geek paradise, featuring nutty whites, juicy reds, zippy bubbles, and a few unicorn bottles.

We'll be having some attainable-yet-amazing wines, and a few of the highly unobtainable ones *cough* Ganevat + Labet *cough*

Ezra will be slinging pizza + salad from the Light Sleeper kitchen, and we’ll taste through some truly wild bottles together—with insights from Master Sommelier Jackson and a relaxed, curious crowd.
