We all know we’re dying—it’s just that Jan Campbell can better predict when it’ll happen to her. In fact, she’s already had her funeral and prearranged her end of life matters with Recompose—the Seattle-based pioneers of an environmental form of deathcare known as human composting. After receiving a diagnosis of stage 4B ovarian cancer in March of 2020, Jan deepened her sense of humor, purpose, and spirituality. Now she’s on a mission to share what it’s like to look death in the face and smile.
